1. Wet clothes dry due to evaporation of water.
2. The water molecules in wet clothes absorbs heat from the outer surroundings.
3. The molecules which are on the clothes surface gets more energy and evaporation takes place.
4. However, some molecules after going into air, return back and settle on the clothes surface.
5. When the number of escaping molecules are more than the number of returning molecules, wet clothes dry.
6. When there is more wind, the molecules which are escaped does not return back to the surface.
7. So, clothes dry faster when wind is blowing.
